April 8, 2008, twenty-four new interns enter the Lloyd Laboratories and were given orientation with regards to the Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), and Safety & Security Program of the company. Inclusively, the establishment gives April 8 to May 2, 2008 as date of duties for the interns, as compliance to the One Hundred Sixty (160) hours required by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) for students who are taking up BS in Pharmacy. The training covers Quality Control, Material Management and Manufacturing Processes. And as part of the training, the student interns were evaluated according to their performances by the supervisors and in-charge of the departments that they will be assigned.
The almost one month of training experienced by the interns is worthy because they able to acquire knowledge with regards to the flow of process done inside Lloyd Laboratories basically, mentally and practically. 3rd day of May 2008, the Summer 2008 batch of interns have successfully finished their internship. The company headed Carmelita D. Santillana (HRAD Director), Roeva Therese Bretaña-Camus (Manufacturing Sr. Manager) and other member of the Lloyd Administration provides a special recognition for the interns. Part of the program is the prestige presentations of students from the different schools, the giving of Certificate of Internship and awarding of the special award which is the “Most Valuable Intern”. Two interns stand-out for the special award, namely Marie Terri Abay-Abay (UIC) and Mark Mejia (UST). The program ended with simple get together at the Function hall of the Lloyd laboratories.
“For us interns, the Pharmacy Internship Training we spent at Lloyd Laboratories Inc. is worth-living. We appreciate the warm acceptance and kindness that you all shown unto us. The experience and fun memories we have in your place is very much unforgettable. Hoping that for the next years, your company will continue to be partners of the schools: UST, USA, SPC and UIC for benchmarking Manufacturing Pharmacy Practice. For us outgoing interns, hoping that in the future we may able to go back at Lloyd Laboratories and somehow open ourselves to be part again of your company, professionally as future co-workers… We our proud to be LLOYD Interns!” By: Ernesto Torrecampo II Marianne Gay Lerios Marie Terri Abay-Abay Analou Grace Manluyang Kristian Vincent Tandog -UIC Interns ’08- | |
